Cape Town Client Partner

About the role

Reach Africa is seeking a Client Partner (Senior Sales Manager) who will lead our sales effort in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, self-driven and is not afraid of “getting their hands dirty” in the sales process. The ideal candidate will be expected to leverage their existing client network to execute on the sales strategy as well as prospect and close business with new and existing clients, while also laying the groundwork for future growth which will include hiring a client service team.  



  • Leverage your existing client network

  • Build and execute on a sales pipeline with agreed upon targets

  • Prospect and close new clients

  • Manage client relationships and grow revenue on existing clients

  • Oversee and be responsible for accurate weekly and monthly forecasting

  • Able to maintain and develop a high level of company and competitor product and services knowledge

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Attention to detail


About You:

  • 5+ years of sales and/or business development experience in advertising and media sales, ideally in a fast-growing start-up-like environment.

  • Solid network of potential prospects and partners in the region is preferable

  • Track record of building a new market on your own

  • Highly motivated, proven individual contributor success in full-cycle Sales role

  • Digitally-savvy, with experience and passion for online marketing, adtech, media sales, 

  • Good eye for business opportunities with awareness of financial performance factors

  • Excellent communication

  • Highly organized and able to prioritize shifting workloads and responsibilities effectively

  • Fluent in English 

  • Education: Post Graduate Degree in Sales & Marketing / Business Administration or similar

  • Analytical Skills, Critical thinking and comfortable with complexity/ambiguity

  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills at all levels

  • Exceptional Leadership/People Skills to lead and build team capabilities

  • Tactical Sales Management
